This last weekend we went down to Myrtle Beach, South Carolina to run the Myrtle Beach Marathon – this was going to be Erika’s first full marathon.  Due to about 3″ of snow, the official organized marathon was cancelled.  We we weren’t going to let that stop us, so we ran the Official Unofficial Myrtle Beach Marathon.  There were hundreds of people out running at the start and one news outlet called us “Renegade Runners“.  We did ran the full marathon route right at 4 hours.  We ran a couple of miles with a guy from Minnesota who had just run the the Arrowhead Ultra Marathon – crazy stories!  We made a clip that lead one of the news casts that night.  Here it is:

Here is the group of us that ran together, the two other guys were from South Carolina, they didn’t know each other, we all just started running and got to know each other along the way:
