The pedals are falling from the flowering crab as April is nearly over.
How: f18, shutter speed 1/10 s – the branches are supposed to be blurry as it was windy, but I didn’t have a tripod, so I couldn’t get too slow.

Nala out in the grass – I initially planned one photo of everyone in the immediate family – including pets. I got another good shot of her and I was satisfied with it, but there was a better photo that day, so it didn’t make the cut. Anyway, I didn’t want her to not have a day. How: f5.6 ISO 400 – can’t go wrong. Jake, Erika, Maggie and Adrian went to the dog park today. Jake loves riding in the backpack. Note I got this idea from the cover of The Moment It Clicks. How: In Av mode, set the aperture to f14 at ISO 400. I tried lower apertures, but they didn’t look as good. Erika ran by this morning – alright she ran by about 8 times as I dialed in this shot. How: Had Erika stand on a spot on the street. On a tripod, autofocused on her shoe, then switched the camera to manual focus mode to keep it focused on that spot. Set the camera to Tv mode and set it to 1/25th sec. Jake is learning how to feed Maggie and Adrian. I just sat back and watched tonight. How: External flash – f/5.6 and 1/60s ISO 100. |
