Erika and I came home today to an awesome surprise! Darci and Chris and Chris’s parents sent us our wedding gift. They went way too expensive and extravigant, but here it is – a wakeboard! We will probably have to try it out this weekend! Thanks a bunch!

Here’s a good shot of Mom and Dad from this weekend in Grand Marias. We had a picnic out on their new favorite hiking trail – the pincushion mountain hiking trail. Here’s a map I found. Thanks Mom and Dad for putting us up and entertaining us.

I’ve updated my links page. This now has all of my hot internet finds from del.icio.us. It also has Marti’s stories on it. I’ve got some really good ideas, on how to improve this site, but I’m still working on the correct way to do it…we’ll see – for now keep an eye on the links page.

I’m currently on my way up to Ely to go camping in the Quetico for a week. The photos from last year are on the site. It will be awesome to get away from computers, cell phones and work for a week. However, I will be updating this site more often when I get back.

A special thanks to Erika for all the help she’s given me including mowing the grass today. Also to mom and dad for watching the dogs. Anna for watching Nala when Erika goes east and Andy for a cheap parking spot for Erika when she goes. Sorry to mom that watching Abbie didn’t work out.

Okay, here’s the cool thing about the new setup of this site – I can update it via email. I just got back from vacation in Sunny Myrtle Beach, SC – I was going to update it from the beach on my phone, but I realized I didn’t want to worry about this stuff on the beach.

Anyway, I’ll have photos from the trip by the end of the weekend on this site. But since it’s Master’s Weekend I figured I’d put the greatest shot from last year’s Masters out here. Click here to see Tiger chip in on 16 on Sunday – here’s a full article about the shot. It’s really an amazing shot. Abbie was sleeping on my chest and I woke her up after the ball fell because I jumped up. I’ll tell her that story everytime we see it on TV.

It’s been a long time coming, but I finally got most of the bugs worked out of my ideas for the new look and functionality of this site. I’ve still got a few things to do, but I’m ready to launch this now. I’ve got the old site backed up, so I can flip it back real quick.

Okay, I do have quite a bit still to do. I’m planning on changing all the pages to this template, adding a few new ones, removing a few old ones, etc. One thing I’m kind of excited about it the use of RSS feed for this site. I’m hoping to have an entire page on what RSS is, but here’s a link to Microsoft’s explanation of it. I think it’s the coolest thing. Here is the address of this page’s RSS feed.

Here’s the fun stuff I’ve been up to – including the latest photos of Abbie from her and my picnic on the deck last Sunday. Also note, the link on the left for my running blog. I’ve been updating that regularly to read next year when I get the itch to run another marathon – and talk me out of it. I also have been maintaining a blog of interesting things I come across on the internet, which I will incorporate sometime soon – it needs some formatting work, but here’s a link to that.
